Mom's Herb Rub

Mortar and pestle

Ingredients

2 or 3 garlic cloves

2 tablespoons or more dried oregano

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

1.  Put garlic in mortar and crush to a paste.

2.  Add oregano, salt, and pepper and mix to make a dry paste that does not stick together much.

Notes

This is my mother's recipe.  She used it on meat, potatoes, soup, you name it.  Feel free to use as much of any of the ingredients as you like and/or adding other herbs, such as thyme or marjoram.
